Religious Education Program (K through 8th Grade)
Our primary purpose as catechists is to support parents in their role as primary educators in their child’s Faith Formation. We offer a holistic approach of instruction, celebration, social activities and outreach to the poor as the basis for the development of a mature faith. We strive to help families establish a firm faith foundation for the children by introducing them to the wonders of God’s word, by helping them to grow in knowledge and understanding of the faith, and inviting them become willing disciples of Christ.
Students enrolled in the program participate in a two-year process to prepare to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Children who are seven years or older who have not been baptized participate in the RCIA program, adapted for children to prepare them to receive the Sacraments of Initiation – Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
